Super Delicious Banana Bread December 05 2014


 Here at we love Banana bread, but unfortunately, we do not love the calorie content! Which  is why we have created our own healthy banana bread recipe perfect for a winter snack.





 -2 tsp baking powder

 -1 tsp pure vanilla extract

 -2 tbsp ground flaxseed + 5 tbsp water

 (available at

 -3 large ripe bananas

 -250g whole-wheat flour

 -Handful Cacao nibs

 (we recommend 

 -150ml almond milk

 -½ tsp cinnamon

 -50ml pure maple syrup

 -2 tsp sweetener



 -Preheat the oven to 150° Celsius.

 -Mix the flaxseed with the 6 tbsp of water and put to the side until gooey.

 -Mash the bananas in a bowl.

 -Whisk the flour, milk, flaxseed and baking powder in a bowl, then whisk in the cinnamon, sweetener, maple  syrup and vanilla extract.

 -Fold in the cacao nibs and banana.

 -Scoop the mixture into a pan and bake for 50 minutes, or until golden brown.

 -Poke the cake with a toothpick and if it comes out clean the cake is ready, if not, bake for longer checking  every 5 minutes.

 -Cut into slices and enjoy!
