You’ve heard of Chia, right? You see foodies sprinkling them onto their cereals and blending them up into smoothies. They’re everywhere! But why? Founded by the Aztecs, Chia seeds have long been recognized for their nutritional values. In fact, the Aztecs use to eat a handful of the seeds before they went to war as it gave them slow releasing energy! For a long time, Chia Seeds were of higher value than gold to the Aztecs! The British Heart Foundation claims that Omega-3 fatty acids are an important part in keeping your heart healthy. Chia seeds are packed full of Omega-3 fatty acids.

 

They are one of the most nutritious foods on the planet.

As well as being rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and Protein, Chia seeds are full of Calcium, Dietary Fibre and Iron. They are also great for boosting your energy levels, making them literally one of the most nutritious foods in existence.
