Hump day treats… You can thank us later! August 19 2015


It’s Wednesday - and as we are officially halfway through the week, our creative superfoodies here at are hoping to make the rest of your week that much better (you can thank us later). Introducing our honey-flax blueberry ice lollies. These beauties are full of fresh, all–natural ingredients, and are not only delicious but also provide a perfect health kick. Just the thing to jump-start you to the weekend.


These tasty treats are full of one of our favourite superfoods, Flaxseed. Just to keep you in the loop, Flaxseed is high in Omega-3 fatty acids, lignans, fibre, protein, Vitamin B and antioxidants; and when combined with fresh blueberries they create the perfect healthy dessert, ideal for the last of our warm summer nights.



Here are the ingredients that you are going to need:

-5 tbsp. Super Flaxseed (Available to purchase HERE)

-300ml Greek yoghurt

-14 tsp. honey

-1/2 cup blueberries

-1 tsp. vanilla extract


And here’s how you do it…

-Crush the blueberries and mix with 2 tsp. of honey, then add the flaxseed, 100ml of Greek yoghurt and the vanilla extract, mix well.

-Place 1 tablespoon of Greek yoghurt into 6 ice lolly moulds and using a lolly stick create a hollow at the bottom of the yoghurt, fill this with 2 tsp. honey.

-Top the lolly moulds up ½ way with Greek yoghurt, then fill the rest of the way with the blueberry mixture.

-Finally, place a lolly stick into the middle of each ice lolly and freeze for 4 hours.
